Meta-owned WhatsApp, the go-to app for millions of users worldwide, on Friday announced that it is rolling out two new updates for iOS users.

According to WaBetaInfo, the instant messaging app is bringing a new interface to the group settings screen and a new “Add other participants” option.

This update is currently available to a few users and will be rolled out to more people in the coming weeks.

A tweaked interface for the group settings screen has been announced, making it easier for admins to manage their groups.

Admins who install the stable version of WhatsApp from the App Store can experience the new interface. They will also have the option to decide who can add members to the group through a new option to add other participants.

A day ago, WhatsApp announced a feature for Android, iOS and desktop users that gives them the ability to follow accounts outside of their personal contacts.

It said the new update will allow users to privately and reliably receive important updates from people and organizations they follow.

The new feature, called Channels, is available to some users in Singapore and Colombia. It will be rolled out to more users in the future.

“With Channels, WhatsApp is creating a trusted and private way to get important updates from the people and organizations you care about,” the app tracking website said.

Channel admins are able to share different content like text, images, videos, stickers and polls with their followers. Through this feature, users will be able to share various updates — from hobbies and sports teams to receiving news from local authorities and more.
