Not long after Twitter implemented a number of policies that angered users, Twitter CEO Elon Musk made another shocking announcement.
The SpaceX founder has said he wants to ditch the Twitter logo and “eventually” the birds that have long been his signature.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, the billionaire first tweeted a photo of a glowing X and wrote: “If enough good X logos are posted tonight, we’ll go live worldwide tomorrow.”

Later, he tweeted: “Soon we’ll be saying goodbye to the Twitter brand and slowly to all the birds.”
And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds

Musk took over Twitter last year after he paid its former owner $44 billion and merged the company into an entity called X Corp.
However, users have increasingly expressed dissatisfaction with the platform and Musk’s policies since he took office.
Shortly after taking control, he laid off several Twitter workers. Soon after, he announced that Twitter’s verification checkmarks would be available to anyone who paid a subscription fee.
Previously, they were free and only certain users were considered “verified” by the platform.
More recently, Musk announced that he is limiting the number of tweets users can see per day.
