With a nod to the devastating floods that affected large parts of Pakistan, the LUX Style Awards 2022 have been announced.
Announcing the annual awards on Thursday, Asma Haq, Head of Beauty & Wellbeing & Personal Care Pakistan, Unilever Pakistan, said in the company’s official statement, “We realize that our country is going through one of the biggest disasters ever. is facing
“We also want to use this phase to help Pakistanis whose lives have been affected by the floods,” Haque said, adding that Unilever Pakistan contributed nearly $1 million to the recovery efforts. including climate resilient infrastructure, sustainable housing and microfinance. “This gesture will help flood victims as they rebuild their lives,” Haque hoped.
This will be the 21st year that the biggest award show for Pakistan’s entertainment and fashion industry will be held.
“The annual awards ceremony has been a commitment to the entertainment industry and has served the people of our country by recognizing the commendable work of our favorite artists over the past year,” the statement added. “Empower diverse voices across Pakistan and play an important role in promoting local talent and putting our stars on the world map.”
The awards will seek to highlight the best talent in fashion, film, music and television for their achievements in their respective fields.
