ISLAMABAD: Co-Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the advice of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to political parties to join the dialogue.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, he lauded the Chief Justice’s proposal and urged political parties to come together to end the ongoing crisis in the country.
He said that the political parties have started talks to resolve the issues regarding the elections, adding that when the coalition parties of PDM [Pakistan Democratic Movement] come on one page for the general elections. Opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf should also be consulted.
PPP Co-Chairman said that if the Chief Justice gives some time, it will be possible to hold elections one day after consultation.
