Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by one run on Thursday to put the Asian giants in danger of an early exit from the Twenty20 World Cup.

Opting to bat first, Zimbabwe scored 130-8 but their bowlers restricted Pakistan to 129-8 for a memorable win in the Super 12 match in Perth.

Zimbabwe, who had a disappointing Super 12 opener in Hobart, made one change in Perth. All-rounder Brad Evans replaced Tendai Chitara.

Fast bowler Richard Ngarwa has retained his place in the squad after suffering an ankle injury in wet conditions in Hobart.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan need a win to keep their semi-final hopes alive in Group 2 after losing to arch-rivals India on Sunday.

They also made one change along with Asif Ali for an extra fast bowler in Muhammad Wasim Jr.
