Asad Umar Says That Criticizing an Individual is Not Same as Criticizing an Institution

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar on Saturday rejected “any attempt to equate criticism of individuals with criticism of the institution.”

This comment of the former minister came in response to the statement issued by the media wing of the army after the speech of deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan after he survived an assassination attempt.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in its statement termed “baseless and irresponsible” the “allegations” leveled by the PTI chief against the organization and a senior military officer in particular. Giving is absolutely unacceptable and unacceptable.

He said the institution “deserves love and respect based on the sacrifices of its members for the safety of the nation”. However, he highlighted that not everyone “necessarily deserves that love and respect”.

The PTI leader added that if the ISPR wants to hear “how the martyrs and the institution are disrespected, all they have to do is listen to the current defense minister’s speech in the NA [National Assembly] where he claims that the institution has been torn apart. Take the flesh of the nation from its bones.”

Call to Protest

Earlier, in a separate tweet, Umar appealed to PTI supporters to gather for a protest in all cities across Pakistan at 5 pm on Sunday, adding that the party would announce a protest location for each city. The local heads of

He further said that he himself will participate in the protest at Liberty Chowk in Lahore.

ISPR Rejected Imran’s Statement.
