Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar on Saturday rejected “any attempt to equate criticism of individuals with criticism of the institution.”
This comment of the former minister came in response to the statement issued by the media wing of the army after the speech of deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan after he survived an assassination attempt.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in its statement termed “baseless and irresponsible” the “allegations” leveled by the PTI chief against the organization and a senior military officer in particular. Giving is absolutely unacceptable and unacceptable.
In a series of tweets, Umar said “Yesterday’s statement by ISPR made baseless allegations against Imran Khan. He never spoke against the institution.
The ISPR statement of yesterday has made unfounded allegations against Imran Khan. He has never spoken against the institution. Infact has always spoken about the need to strengthen the institution. Criticism of individuals should NOT be called criticism of institution

He said that Imran always talked about the need to strengthen the institution.
He said that criticism of individuals should not be called criticism of the institution.
He questioned the ISPR that “if no member of the organization does anything wrong, then why court martial is conducted”, adding that “general officers were also court martialed in the past”.
Question for ISPR :If no member of the institution does anything wrong, why are court martials carried out. Even general officers have been court martialed in the past. If they do carry out acts which can be subject to court martial why cannot they be criticized as individuals?

“If they do actions that can be court martialed, why can’t they be criticized individually?” he asked.
He said the institution “deserves love and respect based on the sacrifices of its members for the safety of the nation”. However, he highlighted that not everyone “necessarily deserves that love and respect”.
Any attempt to equate criticism of individuals with criticism of the institution is rejected. The institution deserves love and respect based on the sacrifices made by its members to protect the nation. Each and every individual is not necessarily worthy of that love & respect

The PTI leader added that if the ISPR wants to hear “how the martyrs and the institution are disrespected, all they have to do is listen to the current defense minister’s speech in the NA [National Assembly] where he claims that the institution has been torn apart. Take the flesh of the nation from its bones.”
If ISPR wants to hear what disrespect for martyrs and the institution sound like, all they have to do is listen to the famous NA speech of the current defense minister where he claims the institution has ripped off the flesh of the nation from its bones!!!

Call to Protest
Earlier, in a separate tweet, Umar appealed to PTI supporters to gather for a protest in all cities across Pakistan at 5 pm on Sunday, adding that the party would announce a protest location for each city. The local heads of
“Let us show them that no one can suppress a truly independent nation,” he said.
He further said that he himself will participate in the protest at Liberty Chowk in Lahore.
ISPR Rejected Imran’s Statement.
Hours after former prime minister Imran Khan’s address to the nation, the military said the “allegations” leveled by the “PTI chairman” against the institution and a senior military officer in particular were “baseless and irresponsible”. Darana” is totally unacceptable and unnecessary.
A statement issued by the ISPR read, “Pakistan Army prides itself on being a highly professional and disciplined organization with a strong and highly effective internal accountability system which is illegal. applies across the board to operations, if any, by uniformed personnel,”
However, it added that if the honor, safety and dignity of its rank and file is being tarnished by frivolous allegations, “the institution will be jealous of the safety of its officers and soldiers, whatever the circumstances.” be”.
Earlier, Imran had said that three people – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and an army officer – were behind the plot to kill him.
Imran asked Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa that will you allow this military officer to investigate in this case? He also asked the Army Chief to take action against the senior military officer to protect the dignity of the institution
