Muzaffargarh: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab team and police on Tuesday
120.5 million rupees were recovered by raiding the house of former MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Abdul Hai Dasti.
The team found local and international currency hidden in two safes. However, the former MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was not there at the time of the raid.
Dasti is a close associate of former Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and former adviser on agriculture.
He was elected Member of Punjab Assembly from PP 270.
Speaking to a news channel, Dasti claimed that the money belonged to his sister, who lived in the UAE and had sent millions of dirhams.
He claimed that he was being targeted because of his political affiliation.
The anti-corruption establishment team also seized a bag full of documents and records.
