After 25 terrorists were killed in an operation in Bannu, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made it clear that the state will not surrender or bow down to any terrorist organization or organization.
A hostage crisis erupted at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) compound in Bannu city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when TTP terrorists seized the center and took several security personnel hostage.
Three days after the incident, security forces conducted a successful operation in which 25 militants were killed.
Condemning the incidents of terrorism in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Prime Minister said that nefarious attempts to spread chaos in Pakistan will be dealt with strictly according to the law and constitution.
He added that the government will deal with terrorists and their external facilitators who spread and support them in Pakistan.
Describing terrorism as a sensitive issue of national security, the Prime Minister said that there is a need for collective thinking and an action plan in this regard.
Paying tribute to the armed forces fighting against terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the nation will end terrorism by supporting its brave forces. He added that the sacrifices of the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies will not be forgotten.
The Prime Minister said that Operation Zarb Azb and Radal al-Fasaad were important steps to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan. He also said that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the main responsibility for peace lies with the provinces, but the government cannot turn a blind eye to these issues.
He further said that the federal government will work together with the provinces to fight against terrorism.
The Prime Minister said that increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the provincial authorities is necessary to eradicate terrorism and for this the government will support in improving the professional capacity of the anti-terrorism departments in all the provinces.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the Center will also help the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in the restructuring of the CTD, they will be provided with all the facilities including modern weapons.
