A high-level delegation led by Minister of State for External Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar is in Kabul for talks with Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi as the TTP ended a months-long ceasefire with Pakistan.
Khar arrived in Kabul on Tuesday on a one-day visit during which he discussed issues of bilateral importance with Amir Khan Muttaqi and focused on political consultations between the two governments.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Afghanistan Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq was also present on this occasion.

Earlier, on his arrival in the Afghan capital, Khar was received at the airport by the Deputy Minister of Economy of Afghanistan, Abdul Latif Nazri and the Head of Mission of the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, Obaidur Rehman Nizamani.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, before the visit, Hina Rabbani Khar will discuss bilateral relations, including cooperation in the fields of education, trade and investment, regional relations, people-to-people relations and regional security issues.
It said that she would also reaffirm Pakistan’s continued commitment and support to strengthen peace and enhance prosperity in Afghanistan.
“As a friend and neighbor of Afghanistan, Pakistan will reiterate its continued solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, especially in alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and creating real opportunities for economic prosperity for Afghan men, women and children. through their own efforts.” ” said the FO.
TTP ended the Ceasefire.
Announcing the end of the ceasefire, the TTP leadership cited the latest military operation against its militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district as the reason.
According to JEE News, Pakistani militants have become active in southern areas of KP, particularly South Waziristan, North Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.
The government had to postpone the polio campaign in Lakki Marwat district on Monday due to continuous attacks by militants on the police and the operation launched against them.
There have been several rounds of negotiations with Taliban leaders in Afghanistan to find an amicable solution to the years-long armed conflict.
Religious leaders and tribal leaders were also involved and were sent to Kabul to persuade the Pakistani Taliban to soften their demands.
The militants recently backed down on some of their demands but wanted the government to restore the former status of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and their armed return to Pakistan.
