APC postponed again on terrorism

Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb announced on Tuesday that the All Parties Conference (APC) called by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been postponed as the Prime Minister will go to Turkey to offer condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the devastating earthquake in the country.

A devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake has struck Turkey and Syria, killing more than 4,300 people and injuring countless others.

In his message on the social networking website Twitter, the federal minister wrote that “Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will leave for Ankara tomorrow morning, he will express his condolences to the Turkish President and the Turkish people for the destruction and loss of life caused by the earthquake.”

Maryam Nawaz said that the APC has been postponed due to the Prime Minister’s visit to Turkey, adding that a new date for the talks will be announced after consultation with the government’s allies.

This is the second time that the APC government called after the Peshawar mosque attack has been postponed.

Initially, the APC was scheduled to be held on February 7, but the date was changed to February 9.

Terrorism is a matter of national urgency, Sanaullah
Earlier, talking about the change in APC’s history, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the government has decided to hold a multi-party conference on February 9 to allow all parties to participate in it. .

Sanaullah said that terrorism is “a matter of national urgency that must be addressed by all parties”.

The minister said that after the general consensus in the APC, the government will take action against the scourge of terrorism.

The minister criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for his new movement launched to give a hard time to the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government, saying that Khan’s ‘jail Bharu Tehreek’ (Jail Bharu Movement) will fail like his past movements.

Sanaullah also referred to the hardships faced during imprisonment and said that the PTI chairman does not know how difficult it is to live in a jail cell.

Sanaullah added that ‘Imran Khan’s only aim is to create chaos in the country and he will ultimately fail’.
