Former Speaker National Assembly and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Qaiser has vowed that if his party comes back to power, it will not indulge in victimization tactics.
Speaking to a private news channel on Friday, Qaiser slammed the PDM government for its recent ‘direct attack’ on the Supreme Court of Pakistan. “We can also discuss the recent amendment introduced by the PML-N government that limits the discretionary powers of the Chief Justice,” he said.
The PTI leader was referring to the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill, 2023, which was passed by the Senate on March 30 to limit the discretionary powers of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notices.
