Former President and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s personal doctor confirmed on Sunday evening that he has been discharged from the hospital after a week.
Dr. Asim said that the former president has been transferred to his home in Karachi after his condition improved.
Earlier, fake news regarding Zardari’s illness was circulating on social media platforms, which were denied by family sources.
The former president was brought to the hospital for treatment of a chest infection and was accompanied by a team of senior pulmonologists and other physicians.
The team of doctors who had come from Dubai to examine Asif Zardari had returned saying that he did not need immediate treatment abroad.
