ISLAMABAD: China announced on Friday that despite being a G20 member state, it will not attend the G20 meeting in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said during his regular briefing at the International Press Center (IPC) that “China strongly opposes the holding of any form of G20 meetings in disputed areas, and in such meetings will not participate.”
India plans to host the G20 summit on tourism from May 22 to May 24 at the Sher Kashmir International Convention Center in Srinagar, Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
