Constitutional amendment will not create new military courts, Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday that he is against the ban on political parties but political parties also have to remain political. Bilawal Bhutto, in response to a question regarding military courts, said that the federal government is not creating new military courts through the constitutional amendment, nor does it intend to bring them.

He added that the Official Secrets Act and the Army Act are already in place and action will be taken against those who violate the law.

He said that when Imran Khan was the Prime Minister, there was an Army Act but he did not amend it.

In response to a question, Chairman PPP said that Imran himself sabotaged the talks and the talks were done by the People’s Party before May 9. He added that the talks between the government and PTI were successful. He said that the government and PTI representatives had agreed to hold elections in the country on the same day but Imran Khan sabotaged it, adding that as long as Imran’s behavior is undemocratic, the democratic forces There will be danger.

When a journalist asked Bilawal whether he believed that PTI was a political party, the foreign minister replied that he believed that PTI had the capacity and potential to become a political party but on May 9, which Everyone saw what happened because Jinnah House and other installations were there.
