The PTI leader said on Twitter that he feared the PML-N might try to escape from the people’s court with the help of its “colleague” ECP. He further said that he will follow Muslim League-N.

Imran Khan announced dissolution of KP and Punjab Assemblies.
In a major development on Saturday, Chairman PTI Imran Khan announced the dissolution of assemblies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 23 (Friday).
The announcement by the PTI chief – who was accompanied by Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan – came during a video link address to party workers and supporters from his residence in Lahore’s Zaman Park. .
In his address, Imran thanked the two chief ministers for the “sacrifice” of their respective governments for the “betterment of the country” and announced that his party would now begin its election campaign.
He also warned the government against using tactics to delay the elections, saying: “I have also spoken to my lawyers […] delaying the elections past 90 days would be against the rules.”
“Pakistan’s constitution dictates that the ECP should always be ready to hold elections within 90 days. I know he will try his best not to,” he said.
In response, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira reiterated that the government’s position still stands – elections to dissolved assemblies and by-elections to vacant constituencies.
Talking about the PML-N’s strategy to counter the PTI move, the minister said the parliamentary party decided to opt for the “constitutional option”.
Sanaullah demanded Imran to dissolve the assemblies immediately and said that there is no need to wait for December 23.
On his part, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that he will not take any unconstitutional step.
Questioning the one-week timeline for dissolution of assemblies, the special assistant to the prime minister said it seemed he wanted to “save face”.
Imran will realize his mistake when he loses the provincial assemblies, Kaira added.
