FIA has registered a case of corruption of Rs 849m against Farah Gogi.

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency has registered a case of money laundering and kickbacks of Rs 849 million against Farhat Princess alias Farah Gogi, a close friend of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.

The FIR, a copy of which is available with JEE News, said that during the investigation, it was revealed that Farhat Shahzai had collected the proceeds of crime through corruption and bribery and laundered it abroad. was It said the Financial Monitoring Unit had reported large-scale, unusual credit transactions in Farhat’s accounts, estimated to be worth Rs 848.95 million. It said that Farah had allegedly taken bribes against transfers of officers including DPOs, RPOs, Deputy Commissioners.

According to the FIR, Farah also used his influence in the award of various government projects.

It was claimed that Farah Gogi had influenced XEN Local Government Sheikhupura Mudasar Jinnah to award a contract worth Rs 80 million. The FIA alleged that Farah received kickbacks in the case.

The FIR filed by the Anti-Money Laundering Circle said that the anti-corruption establishment had sent an inquiry to the Federal Investigation Agency following which a case was registered.
