In a meeting on Friday, senior party leaders discussed the legal aspects of the case and considered appointing Khan as the guardian-in-chief.
Party insiders claim that the PTI has a backup strategy to counter the legal ability to remove Khan from the PTI chairmanship.
“Even after his new appointment, he will have full authority to oversee party affairs,” the report said.
