ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday got interim bail in three cases including attempted murder and prohibited funding cases, while in the Toshakhana case, a district filed against him. A non-bailable arrest warrant was issued. Sessions Court of Islamabad
Amid a busy schedule today, the PTI Chairman appeared in the Banking Court, Anti-Terrorism Court and Sessions Court at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad. However, they skipped the hearing on Toshakhana’s gifts.
A case of attempted murder
Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has obtained interim bail from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the murder case.
IHC Justice Aamir Farooq granted Khan interim bail till March 9 against a surety bond of Rs 100,000.
In October last year, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member of National Assembly Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha filed a case against the ousted prime minister – who was removed from power by a no-confidence motion in April. Police Station Secretariat in the Federal Capital.
Ranjha contacted the police after the attack outside the Election Commission of Pakistan office in Islamabad, where PTI activists and supporters were protesting against the ECP’s decision, which acquitted him in the Toshakhana case. The party chief was disqualified.
It may be mentioned here that the Election Organizing Authority had disqualified Imran Khan on October 21 for not sharing the details of Toshakhana gifts and proceeds from their sale during his tenure as Prime Minister. A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja unanimously ruled against Khan under Article 63 (p) of the Constitution.

As soon as Imran Khan reached the judicial complex of the federal capital, a large number of PTI workers entered by knocking the gate of the building.
Security was disrupted in Sector G-11 of the judicial complex as PTI workers removed all barricades.
Toshakhana case
Earlier today, a district and sessions court in Islamabad issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against the PTI chief in the Toshakhana case.
Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal, who heard the case, pronounced the verdict as Khan did not appear in court despite repeated orders.
During the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer Ali Bukhari and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) lawyer Saad Hassan were present in the court. The case was heard by Judge Zafar Iqbal.
Imran Khan’s lawyer told the court that the former prime minister had left Lahore some time ago. Imran Khan has to appear in two courts in the judicial complex.
He said that Khan will not be able to appear in this court today.
Bukhari requested the court to adjourn the hearing for five days.
Why is it that Imran can appear in 11 courts but not in the courtroom? asked the judge.
He remarked that the court will decide the charges against them so they come here and then leave.
He further said that Khawaja Haris is Imran Khan’s lawyer in this case and he is not available to appear in this court today.
In the Toshakhana case, the judge summoned Khan once again today.
Both of Khan’s lawyers – Ali Bukhari and Sardar Masroof – were reportedly giving conflicting accounts of Khan’s arrival.
Terror case
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) court granted interim bail to the former prime minister after his appearance at the judicial complex.
The former prime minister got bail in the banned funding and terrorism cases filed against him.
ATC judge Raja Jawad heard the terrorism case and granted bail till March 9 on submission of a surety bond of Rs 1 lakh.
The Islamabad police registered terrorism cases against PTI leaders including Khan after party workers took to the streets and vandalized government property following his disqualification in the Toshakhana reference.
Cases registered under 7ATA along with other provisions of the PPC – were registered at various police stations in the federal capital against hundreds of PTI workers and leaders for blocking roads and police personnel at the behest of Khan, Asad Umar. was named for assaulting Ali Nawaz Awan and others.
Prohibited funding case
Later, Judge Rukhshinda Shaheen upheld Imran Khan’s bail in the prohibited funding case.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on October 2022 registered a case against the PTI chief for receiving prohibited funding.
The ECP had declared in a unanimous decision on August 2022 that the PTI had received prohibited funding.
The case was earlier referred to as a “foreign funding” case, but later the Election Commission accepted PTI’s request to call it a “prohibited funding” case.
