The inquiry committee has been directed to complete the inquiry within 10 days and submit the report.

“Action will be taken against those responsible in the light of the investigation conducted by the committee,” the administration said.

Penalty or termination of school registration
Lahore District Commissioner Muhammad Ali will decide to fine or suspend the registration of the school where the bullying has taken place.

A case has been registered against four girls of the school for allegedly abusing their classmate in a school in Lahore. However, the accused were later granted pre-arrest bail, on a surety bond of Rs 50,000 each – valid till January 30.

The decision will be taken on the recommendations made by the District Education Authority in its report. The inquiry was conducted by the female district officer of Lahore Elementary School Education, Deputy District Officer Kent and Deputy District Officer Model Town.

According to the report, the incident took place outside the school’s cafeteria where four female students “tortured their classmates”.

The report said the students involved in the case were “friends” and that the issue arose over parents sharing photos of a “student party outside the school”.

The inquiry authorities have recommended a fine of Rs 600,000 on the school or suspension of the school’s registration.

The inquiry report containing the recommendations has been sent to DC Lahore who ordered an inquiry soon after the matter came to light.
