Sources told JEE News that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz is expected to arrive in Pakistan on January 22.
Maryam’s return to Pakistan is a precursor to PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan. According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told the party leaders that Nawaz Sharif and the party’s chief organizer Maryam Nawaz will return home this month (January) and actively participate in the election campaign.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Nawaz Sharif on January 13 and chaired a meeting of senior party leaders at his residence to discuss the political situation in Punjab.
On the other hand, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif while speaking in program said that Nawaz Sharif will return as soon as the lawyers complete the work of providing him legal protection.
According to media reports, the senior leadership of the party decided to return Maryam Nawaz to the political circle. His father Nawaz Sharif has entrusted him with the necessary tasks related to the mobilization of Muslim League-N workers.
Maryam Nawaz will visit Punjab and meet senior leaders. It should be noted that Maryam Nawaz had a throat operation in Switzerland. She moved from London to Geneva where she lived with her father and brothers.
In November last year, Nawaz Sharif, along with his daughter Maryam and other family members, embarked on a five-nation tour of Europe amid the political crisis in Pakistan. During the 10-day tour, the family visited various European countries.
Maryam has been in London since October 5 to spend time with her father.
