The Prime Minister’s message comes at a time when the nation is celebrating the Silver Jubilee of Yom Takbeer and recalling the glorious achievement of establishing credible minimum deterrence.
The Prime Minister said on his Twitter handle that on this day, Pakistan determined the red line for its defense and laid down the rules of the game for peace and stability in the region. He said that on the silver jubilee of Yom Takbeer, I pay tribute to the political and military leadership, scientists, engineers and all those who were associated with our nuclear program. He further said that his hard work, commitment and determination made it possible for the people to protect their freedom from any physical threat.
“This day represents how consensus among all elements of national power has been achieved on what once seemed like a daunting task,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (Zeb) was a visionary leader who started the nuclear programme, showing bold leadership and his leader Mian Nawaz Sharif strongly rejected the carrot and stick policy and It ensured that the country became a nuclear power. . “Our armed forces remain the protector and guardian of this program in the face of the nefarious ambitions of our enemies,” he said.
