Multiple vehicles collided in Rahim Yar Khan, 13 people died, 20 were injured

At least 13 people were killed and more than 20 injured in a collision between a passenger bus, a van and a jeep on the M5 Motorway in Rahim Yar Khan.

South Punjab Additional Inspector General Maqsoodul Hasan expressed his grief over the accident and directed the police officers to reach the accident site and ensure immediate medical assistance and find out the cause of the incident.

According to the Motorway Police, the accident took place on the M5 Motorway near Rukkanpur when a passenger van’s tire burst. The TV report stated that while trying to rescue the injured people in the passenger van, a bus coming from behind collided with the van.

Meanwhile, the jeep coming from behind the bus also collided with the vehicles. As a result, 13 people died and more than 20 were injured.

According to rescue officials, the bodies and injured have been shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

It was the second such incident in less than a week.

Bus crash kills 15, injures over 60 near Kallar Kahar

At least 15 people, including women, were killed and more than 60 injured in a horrific bus accident near Kallar Kahar area of Chakwal last week.

The driver of the bus carrying the wedding party allegedly lost control of the vehicle as its brakes failed while on its way from Islamabad to Lahore.

Rescue officials say the bus derailed and collided with three different vehicles coming on the opposite track.

Chakwal Deputy Commissioner Quratul Ain said that the number of injured passengers is 64, including women and children, who have been shifted to the hospital.

41 killed, three injured in deadly Lasbela bus crash

On January 29, at least 41 people died when a passenger bus fell into a ditch near Chunky stop in Bela area of Lasbela district.

The accident took place in the morning when the bus was going from Quetta to Karachi with at least 44 people on board.

According to the police, speeding was the reason for the accident as the bus driver was out of control.
