LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team arrived at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore with a notice of appearance.
There were conflicting reports regarding Imran Khan receiving the notice. According to some media, the NAB team failed to give the required notice to Imran Khan and also avoided talking to the media. Sources were quoted as claiming that the team returned after waiting outside the residence without giving any notice. The NAB team was told that no notice would be received. However, a TV channel claimed that Imran’s lawyer had received the notice.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) central vice-president and chief organizer Maryam Nawaz on Monday wondered if Imran would escape receiving notice. “He thinks his followers will save him, while followers have their own problems to deal with,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
