The former prime minister and PTI chairman has reiterated that the current coalition government will not appoint the next army chief on merit, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif will not allow this to happen.

Imran claimed that PML-N has a history of influencing and trying to influence state institutions to save their looted wealth and avoid accountability.
“The Prime Minister of Pakistan [Shahbaz Sharif] is visiting the UK to meet his brother who is a fugitive and has escaped to London under the guise of treatment,” he added.
Imran said that Prime Minister Shehbaz went to London to take important decisions of Pakistan in consultation with his “fugitive” brother.
He said that the one who returned 30 years to the country will take decisions about the appointment of the army chief, the date of elections and the caretaker set-up.
“One cannot imagine that this could happen in a civilized society because there is rule of law.”
Imran said that the decisions being made in London are not aimed at strengthening institutions because the Sharif family does not believe in merit.
“Nawaz Sharif recruited criminals in the Punjab police by taking bribes… He tried to buy judges and he [PML-N] attacked former Chief Justice Sajjad Ali because he was under his control. were not.”
This statement of the PTI chief came a day after the decision of PML-N supremo Nawaz and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, which said that all decisions related to the political affairs of the country are based on the will and will of the ruling party.
