Long march to achieve target ‘no matter what the circumstances’: Imran Khan
LAHORE: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that my long march will achieve the target in any case.
The former prime minister said during a meeting with representatives of media organizations that the party will withdraw only after getting the date of the general elections.
Khan said that no compromise can be made with People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Muslim League (N) chief Nawaz Sharif.
He said that the march will be led by PTI Secretary General Asad Umar and Party Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Khan said the armed forces personnel guarding the borders were like his “children” and going against the institution was not an option for the party.
PTI to hold peaceful protest outside Governor House today
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the party will hold a peaceful demonstration outside the Governor House today.
Talking about the non-filing of the First Information Report regarding the Wazirabad incident, the PTI leader said that Inspector General of Police (Punjab) Faisal Shahkar could not satisfy anyone in this regard.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that Imran Khan will address the march and protest through video link as he is unable to walk.
PTI changes date of long march’s resumption
PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry has announced that the party’s long march will resume on Wednesday instead of Tuesday at 2pm.
