According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said on Tuesday that the defense of the motherland was ensured “at all costs” during a visit to the Pak-Afghan border. will be made.
In a statement, the army’s media wing said the army chief visited the Tirah valley of Khyber district today and spent the day with forward troops deployed along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Interacting with the officers and men, General Munir said: “There will be no place for those who disturb the peace. No one will be allowed to disrupt the hard-earned gains so far in the war against terrorism.” It will not be given.
He appreciated the high morale and operational readiness of the soldiers in line of duty.
“The writ of the state has been established because of the innumerable sacrifices of the tribal people and the security forces,” the COAS said.
He reiterated that his fight against terrorism will continue with the support of the nation until they achieve lasting peace and stability.
The Army Chief was briefed by the Field Commander on operational preparations and border control measures as part of the Western Border Management Regime.
Later, COAS visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar and laid wreaths to pay homage to the martyred soldiers.
The COAS was also apprised of the operational, training and other aspects of the formation, including efforts to create a safe environment for socio-economic development projects for the development of the newly merged districts.
Earlier, Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Hasan Azhar Hayat welcomed the Army Chief on his arrival.
