Pakistan has asked Iran to take action against terrorists behind cross-border attacks.

Pakistan has demanded the Iranian authorities to investigate the cross-border terrorist attack in Balochistan’s Panjgur district and bring those responsible to justice.

Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in her weekly media briefing in Islamabad on Thursday that terrorists used Iranian territory to target a convoy of security forces patrolling the Pak-Iran border. He said that Pakistan pledges that its territory will not be used for cross-border attacks in Iran and we expect the same from Iran.

Baloch added that communication channels are active, and Pakistan has shared its concerns regarding the attack with Iranian officials.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Wednesday that four security personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack from “Iranian soil”.

Harmonious relations with all neighbors
Responding to a question, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan wants cordial relations with all its neighbors including India and wants to resolve all issues including Kashmir through dialogue. However, he added that India’s unrelenting hostility and reactionary actions have worsened the environment and hindered the process of peace and cooperation.

He said that India has the responsibility to create favorable conditions for meaningful talks, adding that talks are a reaction to India’s illegal and unilateral actions on August 5, 2019 in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. is the key to start. He said that if the international community persuades India to take such steps, Pakistan will appreciate it.

FM Bilawal will visit Uzbekistan.
The Foreign Office spokesperson also said that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will go to Tashkent, Uzbekistan on January 25 to attend the 26th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

He said that the Foreign Minister will address the ceremony and hold bilateral meetings with the co-ministers and other dignitaries on the occasion of the ceremony.
