Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday rejected the possibility of talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan despite the instructions issued by the Supreme Court a day earlier. .
Addressing a press conference, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader said: “God willing, there will be no need for any talks [with Imran Khan].”
Earlier today, the Supreme Court directed the disputing ruling and opposition political parties to immediately reach a consensus on the election date and update the three-member bench by 4 pm. However, the ruling coalition party chief held a press conference until 4:30 p.m.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry once again confirmed before appearing before the bench that the PDM is yet to hold talks with the Imran Khan-led party. Did not contact.
