ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir will pay homage to the martyrs today (Thursday) and recite Fatiha at the memorial of great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan. .
GHQ Rawalpindi will remember martyrs on Martyrs Day. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also participate in the gathering of the relatives of the martyrs.
Reliable sources told JEE News here on Wednesday that Principal Staff Officers (PSOs) of GHQ will also be present on the occasion. The Prime Minister will also meet them. On this day, recitation of Quran and recitation of Fatiha will also be organized at Prime Minister House.
Sources say that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will make a stormy visit to Peshawar today (Thursday) where his engagements will be scheduled. He will visit the historic building of Radio Pakistan, which was set on fire by PTI activists on May 9 and stopped broadcasting for the first time since 1947. Radio Pakistan broadcasts are also heard in large areas of Afghanistan.
The prime minister is likely to visit other places on May 9 which were badly damaged by PTI henchmen. The Prime Minister had to cancel his visit to Peshawar last week due to sudden engagements. He will address a small gathering of dignitaries at Governor House Peshawar and chair an important meeting on the law and order situation before returning to the federal capital, sources said.
