Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has announced that the party will hold protests across the country today at 5 pm.
Announcing on Twitter, Asad Umar said that a day after the incident of firing on PTI chief Imran Khan, PTI will protest in all major cities today. The attack took place on Thursday as Khan, along with other PTI leaders, was leading his long march towards Islamabad standing on his container. He suffered a bullet wound on his leg.
Asad Umar’s announcement came a few hours after Imran Khan ended the anti-government movement launched on October 28.

Imran Khan has repeatedly said that the only demand of his party is that the government should give a date for the next general elections. The PTI leader enjoyed massive popular support after his government was toppled by a no-confidence vote in April this year.
Asad Umar said that PTI’s local organizations will announce the location of protest in their respective cities.
“Let us prove to them (the present rulers) that no one can truly suppress a free nation,” asserted the PTI leader.
He further said that I will participate in the protest at Liberty Chowk in Lahore.
Imran spilled the beans on the assassination plot.
Claiming that he had advance knowledge of the assassination plot, he provided details of how “they” [government leaders and others] planned it.
“They used the same methods that they tried to use against [former Punjab governor] Salman Taseer,” he said during a televised address at Lahore’s Shaukat Khanum Hospital, where he was being treated for his injuries. are doing
“They tried to accuse me of blasphemy to turn the people against me,” he said, adding that his party was not formed under the auspices of a military establishment and came to power after a 22-year struggle. .
He reiterated his earlier statement that four people were planning to kill him, so he made the video to reveal their names.
“The tape, which contains the names of four people, will be released if anything happens to me,” the former prime minister had said while addressing a rally in Mianwali in October.
‘I have been in the government for three and a half years, I know everyone in the institutions and agencies.’
Khan added that now three people including Rana Sanaullah, Shahbaz Sharif and an army major planned to kill me when they saw that the number of people in my long march was increasing rapidly.
He therefore urged his followers and members to continue protesting against the said persons.
“Continue your protest against these three persons until they resign from their posts,” Khan said.
