London: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah shared that minor changes have been made in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s plan to return to Pakistan.
According to the Federal Minister, Maryam will leave London for Dubai on January 27 and will reach Pakistan via Dubai on January 28. Maryam has been in London since October last year to spend time with her father Muslim League (N) chief Nawaz Sharif.
In a recent meeting, Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with party leaders including Maryam Nawaz, Javed Latif and Rana Sanaullah to discuss various issues like general election preparations and arrangements for daughter’s return to Pakistan.
Moreover, the meeting also discussed the question of who will lead the election campaign in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, Nawaz Sharif did not answer this question immediately.
Some earlier media reports said that the senior leadership of the party has decided to return Maryam Nawaz to the political arena in Pakistan. His father Nawaz Sharif has entrusted him with the important task of mobilizing the workers of Muslim League-N.
Maryam Nawaz will visit Punjab and meet senior leaders. Notably, Maryam recently underwent a throat operation in Switzerland and traveled from London to Geneva with her father and brothers.
In November last year, Nawaz Sharif, along with his daughter and other family members, embarked on a five-country tour of Europe amid the political crisis in Pakistan. The family visited various European countries during their 10-day tour.
