Samina Shah, the mother of Shahnawaz Amir, the main accused in the Sara Inam murder case, has been arrested from the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad.
On Wednesday, Samina Shah and the investigating officer appeared in the court for the proceedings of the case along with the records.
During the proceedings, the complainant’s counsel Rao Abdul Rehman told the court that Shah was named as an accused under the influence of his statements. He added that as per the law all his pretexts were baseless, however, the accused cannot run away as the maid came to know about the murder.
The petitioner’s counsel pleaded with the court that the accused Samina Shah should not be granted further bail as per the police record.
After his arguments, the court rejected his further pre-arrest bail, after which the police arrested him outside the court.
On the previous hearing, the court had granted pre-arrest bail to Samina Shah on a surety bond of Rs 50,000.
Shahnawaz, son of veteran journalist Ayaz Amir, is in physical custody of the police who are implicating him in the murder of his Canadian-born wife Sara Inam.
