LAHORE: On Wednesday, the Punjab department banned section 144 in Lahore, which banned public rallies in the provincial capital, which is scheduled today before the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally and Aurat March scheduled today.

The notification issued by the Secretary (Home) Shakeel Ahmed further stated that to prevent other activities in the district, “rallies, processions, demonstrations, rallies, rally, streams, protests and other such activities.

The order states that due to the dangers of the people, it is important to ensure the safety of people and installations/buildings against any potential terrorist or invasive activity in the greatest interest of the people, in the greatest interest of the people.
