Talking to the media after the meeting of the party workers, he said while talking to the journalists that the politicians and the establishment are equally responsible for the current sad situation of the country.
Sardar Mehtab has previously served as the Governor and Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during the Muslim League (N) government.
Former Provincial Minister Muhammad Ayub Afridi, Shimoun Yar Khan, Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad Ashfaq and other party workers and local leaders were present on this occasion.
Referring to the ongoing political situation in the country, he remarked that it is a common thing that parliamentarians become puppets of the establishment after winning elections.
He asked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation to request the government to share details of all borrowings and expenditures over the past 20 years to determine responsibility.
The PML-N leader said that elections are not the solution to the current situation and asked people from all walks of life to raise their voices to get rid of the corrupt political system.
The former governor also said that all political parties were exposed because they were responsible for the current dangerous situation in the country.
Mehtab added that unfortunately the political leadership has turned the country into a “revenue generating tool”.
He criticized the present parliament terming it inactive and inefficient as half of the parliamentarians have already resigned.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had miserably failed to deliver and was about to disappear from the political scene when the Muslim League (N) was brought to power to save the PTI’s sinking ship.
He further said that the Supreme Leader of Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif strengthened the party across the country and he is still a symbol of unity while the objectives of the current leadership of the party are completely different from the vision of Nawaz Sharif.
However, Mehtab advised the workers to give a warm welcome to Maryam Nawaz as she is the daughter of Nawaz Sharif.
He said: “The party is doomed in KP”, and demanded an immediate change of the current leadership, claiming that “if proper steps are not taken, no one will get party tickets in the next general elections.” Will.”
The PML-N leader asked the party workers not to blindly follow the leadership and raise genuine questions.
