Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehbaz Gul on Saturday apologized to Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ramesh Kumar for his remarks against the minority lawmaker during a TV talk show last year.
The PTI leader reached Kumar’s house on Saturday and apologized for his remarks on a private TV channel ahead of the no-confidence vote against Imran Khan.
Gill said that what he said must have hurt Ramesh, and that he regrets what happened between them during the TV debate.
In a tweet, Gill said that he is currently facing dozens of cases, including defamation cases filed by the Sharif family, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others, which he will fight in court.
However, he added: “Ramesh Kumar is from a minority, so I went to him today because my struggle is against the caste system, and I don’t want to fight a minority.”

Ramesh also tweeted on the issue, saying: “Today Shahbaz Gill came to my house to apologize and regret the remarks.”
He added: “As it is our tradition in Sindh that when someone comes to our house, we forgive him.”
Ramesh also announced the withdrawal of the defamation case filed by him against the PTI leader.
Today @SHABAZGIL came to my home to apologize and express regret over the remarks he made about me on @DunyaNews. As it is our tradition in #Sindh, when someone comes to our home, we forgive them. Accordingly, I have instructed my lawyer @imaanzhazir to withdraw defamation case. pic.twitter.com/hSTp7fkygU

It should be noted that Shahbaz Gill had used inappropriate words for Ramesh Kumar in a TV show last year.
