ISLAMABAD: The two sons of Supreme Court judge Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi have issued a legal notice to advocate Mian Dawood to publicly apologize within 15 days for his defamation.
Mian Dawood had filed a malpractice complaint against Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), demanding his removal.
Dawood submitted that the judge and his family members were found to have been involved in criminal abuse of power and corruption during their service.
He added that the judge used his position to get his sons and daughter to study abroad and get financial benefits from Zahid Rafiq.
In the legal notice, Syed Tasadeq Mustafa Naqvi and Syed Tasadeq Murtaza Naqvi, the sons of Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, asked the complainant Mian Dawood to publicly apologize within 15 days.

Reacting to the legal notice, Mian Dawood said that the decision to respond to the legal notice or not will be taken after consulting his legal friends.
He said that he will not bow down to threats for supremacy of law and constitution, instead of hiding behind legal notices, file a reply in the Supreme Judicial Council on corruption.
