Rawalpindi: A Brigadier of Inter-Services Intelligence is among the 4 soldiers who were martyred in separate incidents on Tuesday.
Brigadier Mustafa Kamal Barki of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was martyred while 7 others were injured during an encounter with terrorists in Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan.
According to the statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Mustafa Kamal Barki was martyred while leading the front against the terrorists. Seven people were injured in the exchange of fire, out of which two were in critical condition.
Brigadier Berkey and his team put up a brave resistance against the terrorists during the encounter and the officer laid down his life for the peace of the motherland.
Meanwhile, 3 soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in the exchange of fire with terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday night. According to ISPR, on the intervening night of March 20 and 21, terrorists fired at a police check post in Khoti area of Dera Ismail Khan. On receiving the information, security forces immediately cordoned off the area and blocked all possible escape routes.
The fleeing terrorists were intercepted in Sigo. Three terrorists were killed after a fierce exchange of fire. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the dead terrorists.
However, during the exchange of fire, Havaldar Mohammad Azhar Iqbal (42, Sakna Lodhran), Naik Mohammad Asad (34, Sakna Khaniwal) and Sepoy Muhammad Isa (22, Sakna South Waziristan) fought bravely and embraced him. Martyrdom The area is being cleaned to eliminate the terrorists.
