Two main leaders, eight former MPAs also quit PTI.

ISLAMABAD/MULTAN: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) suffered a further blow on Thursday when two of its key leaders and eight former members of the Punjab Assembly from South Punjab announced they were quitting the party following the May 9 incidents. .

Malik Amin Aslam, a senior leader of PTI and former head of the ‘Billion Tree Tsunami’ project, announced his separation from Imran Khan and said that now the party is heading towards destruction.

Addressing a news conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, the former adviser to former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that after watching video clips of violent attacks on military installations and private buildings on May 9, he decided that now he Can’t go with this agenda.

He said that after the May 9 tragedy, he is sure that there will be some black sheep responsible for such incidents, they will be expelled from the party through self-accountability. But, he lamented, nothing has happened so far. He said that the party should be held accountable for what happened on May 9.

“Wherever the protests took place, they targeted military installations. This agenda is like a dream come true for the enemies. On May 9, party workers took the law into their own hands, and the party leadership should have investigated all this. ,” he added.

Malik Amin from Attock said that the events of May 9 shocked people like him and what happened is in front of everyone.

Also, PTI Deputy Information Secretary and Core Committee Member Dr Muhammad Amjad announced on Thursday that he too was quitting the party in the wake of the May 9 incidents.

Addressing a news conference in the federal capital, he said that he is resigning from the three posts of the party namely Deputy Information Secretary, PTI Core Committee Member and Chairman Imran Khan’s Focal Person for Trade Unions.

Referring to the events of May 9, he said: “If the people of the country are disturbed by your actions, it is not right.” He lamented how military installations and civilian properties were attacked. And they were burnt and even the pictures and memorials of the martyrs were not spared.

The former MPA of PTI from South Punjab in Multan strongly condemned the events of May 9 and announced to leave the party.

He said that PTI has emerged as an anti-Pakistan party and satisfied Indians with its violent actions on May 9. The PTI quitters belong to Multan, Muzaffargarh, Leh, Khanewal and Dera Ghazi Khan districts.

Former PTI MPA Zahiruddin Alizai from PP 214 (Multan), Qaiser Abbas Magsi from PP 282 (Leh), Alamdar Qureshi from PP 277, Ashraf from PP are among those who announced their departure from the party on Thursday. Khan Rind is included. 279, pp. 251 to Jahanzeb Warne, pp. 210 to Mujtaba Maitla, pp. 271 to Niaz Gashkuri, pp. 276 to Aoun Hamid Dogar.
